Actor Adam Rich, best known for his role as Nicholas Bradford on the TV drama “Eight Is Enough,” has died at the age of 54. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
Rich also appeared on a variety of TV shows and movies in the 1970s and 1980s, including “Fantasy Island,” “CHiPs,” “Small Wonder,” and provided the voice for a character on the animated series “Dungeons & Dragons.”
He made his last on-camera appearance in 1993 in an episode of “Baywatch,” and then took a 10-year break from acting before appearing in the 2003 comedy “Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star” and portraying Crocodile Dundee in the TV series “Reel Comedy.” Rich was involved in a legal issue in 1991 for alleged burglary and was bailed out by his “Eight Is Enough” TV father, Dick Van Patten. In 1996, Rich participated in a satirical hoax in which he was falsely reported as deceased.
