Adele reportedly said during her Las Vegas performance, “I remember when I came here in Covid, in lockdown, it was 11am and I was definitely like four bottles of wine in — like we all were. I said in 2020 that I wanted to put my album out. And we were all at home just drunk basically.”
In a 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Adele, who is known for her song “I Drink Wine,” revealed that she had quit drinking after losing her estranged father to bowel cancer. She also mentioned that she had dropped seven stone after giving up alcohol entirely. According to Adele, drinking water and being sober can help one get to know themselves better.
