According to a spokeswoman for the actor, Jeremy Renner was critically hurt in a snow-plowing accident over the weekend and is currently in “critical but stable condition.”

A representative for the Hawkeye actor informed the Hollywood Reporter late on Sunday night that “we can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries sustained after encountering a weather-related mishap while shoveling snow earlier today.”

They continued, “His family is with him, and he is receiving top-notch care.

Renner was taken to the hospital by airlift, according to Deadline.

Over the course of his playing career, the 51-year-old actor has received two Academy Award nominations for his roles in The Hurt Locker and The Town. He rose to fame by playing the superhero Clint Barton, popularly known as Hawkeye, in Marvel movies and by playing a part in the Mission: Impossible movie series.
